⚾ LSU on Verge of CWS Title Behind Complete Game Shutout |
LSU ace Kade Anderson absolutely owned Game 1 of the College World Series finals on Saturday night, firing a complete-game 1–0 shutout to put the Tigers just one win away from the national title.
He dialed up 10 strikeouts over 130 pitches, held Coastal Carolina to only three hits, and broke their 26-game win streak with a gem on the mound.
LSU scratched out its lone run in the first inning thanks to Steven Milam’s RBI single, and Anderson never looked back, stranding seven runners in scoring position.

In a heartfelt post on X, “Bones” thanked fans, family, teammates and the organization, saying he's excited for new challenges beyond the Octagon.
This ends an era for MMA’s former pound-for-pound king—once the youngest UFC champ—as Jones steps away, leaving fans wondering what might've been against Aspinall, while hinting he’ll stay involved in the sport. |
⚾ Mariners’ Cal Raleigh Becomes First to 30 HRs in MLB |
Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh crushed a solo shot on Saturday at Wrigley, launching his 30th home run of the season—making him the first player in MLB this season to reach the feat.
In doing so, he became not only the first catcher but also the first switch‑hitter ever to hit 30 homers before the All‑Star break, shattering Johnny Bench’s and Mickey Mantle’s decades‑old benchmarks.
That power surge puts Raleigh in elite company—he’s now the fastest to 30 homers since Barry Bonds and Luis Gonzalez in 2001—continuing a scorching start to a historic season. |
