⚾ Giants' Patrick Bailey Hits Walk-Off, Inside-the-Park HR |
Down two in the bottom of the ninth last night, Giants catcher Patrick Bailey ripped a fastball to the deepest part of Oracle Park and raced home for a stunning three-run, inside-the-park walk-off, lifting San Francisco to a 4–3 win over the Phillies. See video.
The rocket off the brick wall caromed perfectly past a scrambling outfield, and even Bailey—no speedster—milked every ounce of hustle to round the bases in epic fashion.
It was the Giants’ ninth walk-off of the season, their first inside-the-park homer since Angel Pagan in 2013, and MLB’s first walk-off inside-the-parker since Tyler Naquin in 2016 for the Indians.
The wild win extends the Giants’ win streak to four and fuels real momentum as the 51–41 club charges toward the All-Star break. | ⚾ Blue Jays Extend Win Streak to 10 Games |
The Blue Jays kept the good times rolling on Tuesday night, beating the White Sox 6–1 in a rain-shortened, six-inning affair to extend their win streak to 10 games.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. delivered two hits and two RBIs, while Davis Schneider added a homer, and Chris Bassitt was dominant—allowing just one run over six innings.
The hot streak, the club’s longest since 2015, sees them sprinting out of the gate with the most wins, 54, before the All-Star break in franchise history. |
🏀 Nikola Jokic to Delay Extension Talks Until '26 |
Nuggets star Nikola Jokic, the three‑time MVP in his prime, has reportedly decided to postpone extension talks until summer 2026—even though he could lock in a three‑year, $212 million deal right now.
By waiting, he’s playing the long game: the delay paves the way for a max four‑year offer around $285–293 million, potentially netting him roughly $80 million more.
It’s a calculated financial play by Jokic and his camp—not hesitation—leveraging his peak form, confidence, and expected cap boom.
Denver fully expects to extend him now but respects Jokic’s strategy; the franchise will keep building the roster around him while letting time—and market value—work its magic. |
