⚾ Twins' Byron Buxton Hits for the Cycle |
Twins outfielder Byron Buxton absolutely owned his bobblehead day at Target Field on Saturday, becoming the first player in the park’s 16-year history to hit for the cycle—and the 12th in Twins franchise history.
Buxton racked up a single, a triple, a double, then crushed a 427-foot homer to straightaway center in the seventh, capping an early 5‑hit performance during the Twins' 12–4 rout of Pittsburgh.
Buxton admitted the pre-game jitters—thanks to 10,000 fans lining up for his “Buck Truck” bobblehead—made the feat even more special.
On the heels of an electric first half and with an All-Star appearance (and HR Derby) just days away, Buxton’s cycle injects a major spark into Minnesota's summer.

🎾 Iga Swiatek Wins 2025 Wimbledon Women's Title |
Iga Swiatek ripped through Centre Court with an absolute clinic on Saturday—crushing Amanda Anisimova 6‑0, 6‑0 in just 57 minutes to claim her first-ever Wimbledon crown.
Swiatek's stunning double-bagel win marks the first women’s final in the Open Era to finish 6‑0, 6‑0 since 1911, and pushes her Grand Slam tally to six while making her one of the few to win on clay, hard, and grass.
At just 24, she's now the youngest since Serena Williams to complete that surface trio—and the first-ever Polish champion at Wimbledon.
It was dominance personified and proof that on grass, Swiatek’s ceiling just keeps expanding.
