🏒 Panthers Repeat as Stanley Cup Champions |
The Panthers officially stamped their place in NHL lore, clinching back-to-back Stanley Cup titles with a commanding 5–1 win over the Oilers in Game 6 on Tuesday night at Amerant Bank Arena.
Sam Reinhart was the star of the night with four goals—marking the first four-goal performance in a Cup Finals game since 1957.
Sam Bennett was honored as the Conn Smythe Trophy winner after leading all postseason scorers with 15 goals and 22 total points in 23 games.
The Panthers become the second Florida NHL team to repeat since 2020—joining the 2020–21 Lightning—and cement their status as a modern dynasty under coach Paul Maurice.

🏀 Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton to Have MRI for Calf Strain |
Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton is reportedly dealing with a strained right calf, and Indiana has scheduled an MRI to determine the severity ahead of Thursday’s Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
He first tweaked the calf driving to the rim in Game 5, briefly exited the contest, then returned with the calf taped—but struggled offensively, managing just four points (all from free throws) in the loss.
While Haliburton has made it clear he plans to play if he can walk, the MRI results will be the deciding factor in whether he can suit up. |
⚾ LSU, Louisville, Arkansas Advance to CWS Semifinals |
LSU, Louisville, and Arkansas surged into the College World Series semifinals with electrifying efforts on Tuesday.
LSU, led by a clutch three-run homer from Jared Jones and a shutdown stretch from reliever Casan Evans, topped UCLA 9–5 in their rain-ravaged game to earn a spot out of the winners’ bracket.
Louisville pulled off a dramatic walk-off sac fly by Eddie King Jr. to eliminate Oregon State 7-6 and keep their Omaha dream alive, facing Coastal Carolina out of the winners’ bracket next. Watch ending.
Meanwhile, Arkansas is rolling—Wehiwa Aloy belted a two-run homer and triple, while Zach Root shut down UCLA in a 7–3 win to set up an epic SEC semifinal showdown with LSU. |
